Scene it Saturday

This Month's Theme:  Winter Birthdays

Today's Prompt:  Create a scene card.

Today's card features Wendy Vecchi products. I enjoyed learning these techniqes while attending a Wendy Vecchi class at a retailers only trade show. The Card Base is Ranger's Specialty Stamping Paper.  I swiped the c/b through a puddle of reinker mixed with rubbing alcohol. (Wendy Vecchi's technique) and dried with a heat tool.  Then I applied Garden Patina Archival ink through two WV stencils to create the "snow falling" in the background.  The tree and gift is also a WV stencil set.  The gift is Garden Patina Archival Ink and the tree is Fern Green Ink.  The top layered tree is a WV mat mini, colored with Fern Green Archival ink and the design is stamped with Watering Can Archival Ink.  I created the Poinsetta Leaf in the same manner as the tree. The red ink is Carnation Red.  I finished off the card with Ranger Enamal Accents and Wink of Stella (trees and leaves).

  1. I love how the leaves come off the side of the card and the way the one tree shadows the patterned tree.

    1. Thank you Denise. All the products I used are designed to go together, which makes the process enjoyable.
