C.A.S.E A Card Friday #14-2017

Today we C.A.S.E. this card to show you can even use Christmas cards as inspiration throughout the year-

Kimberly starts us out with this card.

For my card, I drew from the colors (red, green, gold and white) and texture.  I chose an A7 card base as the Spellbinders Die looks great on this size.  I started with a red card base and adhered the green tone on tone textured paper (Anna Griffin) cut slightly smaller.  The Spellbinders Die set comes with three dies, a large die (white card stock) and two heart images - solid/red mirror c/s and detailed gold c/s.  The three die cuts layer nicely to create the focal point on the card.  The tag is a Casual Friday’s die.  The sentiment is Catherine Pooler Designs. - Kimberly

I used the C.A.S.E. to start my Easter cards.

I too used the embossed background as my inspiration.  Using a Darice embossing folder on purple cardstock cut at 4 x 5.25, I made that my background.  I then cut both a banner (from The First Few Years) and bunny (from Create a Critter 2) on my Explore.  I used some plaid paper from the Paper Studio on the banner, bow tie and sentiment background to tie it all together. The sentiment paper and background were cut on my Cuttlebug using nesting dies.  I had been stamping a lot lately, so it is nice to get back to my die cuts.- Denise

  1. These are great! On the first, I love how you used the die to simulate the embossing. And the second...well, I just love all of it, color, patterned paper, embossing, bunny!
