Technique Tuesday 34-2018

I had fun making this card; I actually smiled thinking of our Elliott being a Senior this year at Boarding School.  He has to do his own laundry (was never a problem - he is so picky he did his living at home!)  He went back to school two weeks ago and I won't get to see him until Labor Day  :(  so I really miss him!  I love sending him cards once a week; he sends me a text everyday at 12 noon with 4 words - I love you Grandmother.  Melts your heart...

Here is the card I made for Elliott:

I made the card using a Lawn Fawn stamp set.  I stamped off all the images on white card stock and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  I then fussy cut all the pieces.  I stuck the clothes and bubbles down on the white card stock panel.  I trimmed out the center of the washing machine and placed a piece of acetate behind the center.  I attached it to the card using pop dots to make my mechanism to "Pull" my hidden message. I love how it comes out like you would clean a filter on a dryer!  I wrapped a black ribbon around the white panel and tied a simple knot.  I attached the basket of laundry and the dryer sheet box over the ribbon with pop dots.

Here is the card with the message showing:

The message is also part of the stamp set.  He is going to love it! ~ Gracie
