Here is Sue's pick:
I chose the black
fishtail banner on a burlap fishtail banner with white and gold twine. I die
cut the “hi” from gold card stock using My Favorite Things Die-Namics Happy
Hellos, which I adhered to the black fishtail banner. To further emphasize the
gold, I used a Gelly Roll gold pen to add hash marks along the edge of the
black fishtail banner. I found some black chevron paper for the background. I
cut a 2” x 5.5” strip which was adhered towards the bottom of a natural card. I
adhered the banner on an angle to complete the card. ~ Sue
The "Hi" just pops!
Here is my card:
Black and burlap just look masculine to me and I need excuses to make masculine cards - I am such a procrastinator because I have a hard time trying to think what looks masculine! I started by adding a sentiment from Fiskars using pearl embossing powder. I tied the burlap tag to a white tag and adhered it to a black card stock panel. I added the man on a bicycle from my vintage stash. I then accented with bronze enamel heat set dots. I used a craft paper card stock base. I agree with the sentiment! My joy is to play - in my craft room! ~ Gracie
I just love what different directions the same embellishments take in the hands of you two talented ladies. Great job.
