Thursday in 3D 33-2018

Hi! Welcome back, it's Sue here as the designer for the week.

The theme for August is school related (teacher, back to school, encouragement for a child) and the color scheme is yellow, black and white.  For Thursday in 3D, the challenge is to make cards that are 3D.

Here's my card

I made a fancy fold card starting with a 4.25” x 9.5” piece of black cardstock. I scored a vertical line, 5.5” from one end. I then scored diagonal lines, through the vertical line. Once folded, trim the top portion, creating a 3” square for the top of the graduation cap. I made a yellow tassel with yellow embroidery thread. I attached the tassel to the top of the cap with a black brad. 

Here's a picture of the card, opened up. 

On the inside, I stamped “BRAVO Graduate” using Art Impressions Spectacular Cling stamp on a 2.75” x 2.75” which was adhered “under” the graduation cap. The “congratulations” uses Simon Says STAMP’s Handwritten Greetings stamp set.
