Mistletoe Monday #39-2016

After a couple of weeks for Halloween we are back to Mistletoe Monday just in time to make your cards for this season.  This month we will feature cards that have a lot of Glitz and Glamour.

Just look at the Glitzy Santa Robbie gives us -

Glitz is right up my alley.  All Supplies are Stampin’ Up.  What better way to add some sparkle than using some of our beautiful Silver Glimmer Paper.  I decided that Santa is magical and has a sparkle about him so I used the Detailed Santa Thinlits Die to cut out my Santa frame.  I back it with a piece of Real Red card stock cut to the same size as the frame.  I took a piece of Whisper White card stock that measured 5 ½” x 8 ½”.  I scored it at 4 ¼” on the long side to form my card base.  I attached my Santa frame to the top portion of the card base.  I then used the sentiment from the Greetings from Santa stamp set using Real Red ink.  To finish off my card I added some silver sequins to add a little more sparkle.  The perfect amount of Glitter for this time of year! - Robbie

I had so much fun with this card design, I made two cards:  Silver & Gold.  The stencil is from Catherine Pooler's Young at Heart SOA.  I applied Distress Inks in Broken China and Candied Apple to two separate card panels.  The ornament stamp is from the Candy Cane Lane SOA.  I stamped it repeatedly on each panel with Versamark Ink and embossed with Silver and gold embossing powder as shown.  I die cut two circles out of white card stock, stamped the sentiment with Versamark and matched the embossing powder with the backgrounds. The circle die is by Sizzix.  Both cards are size A2. - Kimberly
