This Month's Theme is: All Things Plaid
Today's Prompt: Scene It Saturday (Create a Scene Card)
Color Scheme is green, gold or silver, black
Technique: Foiling
Today's scenic card was created using Stampendous stamps, dies and stencils. The sky was created by applying Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink over the Stampendous Picasso Stencil. The ocean was created by applying Broken China DO Ink with a blending tool. The waves were created by applying Salty Ocean DO ink through the stencil that is included with the Sailboat Cling Stamp Set. I stamped and die cut the sail boat and the "wave" images with white watercolor c/s. I colored the sailboat with Carved Pumpkin Distress Marker and water.
I added foil to the card by applying Cosmic Shimmer Flake and Glitter Glue to the vertical and horizontal "poles" on the sail boat. The glue dries clear and tacky, which makes it easy to apply foil (gold). The close up photo below shows how the foil adds a nice touch to the image.
This week, I shared several different ways to add foil to your cards and projects. I hope you will try some of these fun techniques. ~ Kimberly

Love those clouds and foiling really adds that extra to set the card off.
