April Showers (Brings Brides & Babies) Blog Hop

Welcome to the

We're so glad you are hopping with us today.
We've got all kinds of great baby and bridal shower related crafts and ideas for you.

You should have arrived here from Theresa's blog.
If not be sure to stop back by and leave some love.

Now on with the projects.

I am so getting ready for my 2 nieces' weddings!  I made this card using a digital stamp set I bought from Paper Garden Catherine St. Clair design).  I water colored the umbrella, mounted it on blue polka dot patterned paper, then mounted it on a white cardstock base.  I added clear rhinestones to look like rain falling.  Now I have to get busy and make another!  ~Gracie

This is a baby shower card for my nephew’s baby.  I used my cameo to design &  cut out the card and the theme was whales….  And onesies on a clothes line always feels like a baby shower to me! ~Jennifer

I opted to make a card for a baby shower.  I made a cute diaper with a diaper pin pattern and made two slits on the front so the side flaps slide in...just like the real thing.  Inside, a play on words reminding the parents-to-be they are entering a "changing" world printed on Pink Pirouette card stock.  To finish it off, I tied some Offray pink ribbon across the front.   ~Kim

Who doesn't love babies!! This sweet card is from the "Bundle of Joy" group on SVG Cuts.
They have a example of a boy and a girl card along with some other cute items... keep hopping and you will find another baby item to go with it! ~Anna

If you came from my personal blog to here, you know that I was digging through my diecuts drawer for inspiration for today's hop.  Well this one to came from a friend in a swap but unfortunately I don't know who gave it to me, but it was so pretty I had to use it.
I used the Cricut scroll embossing folder on the entire card, that's right I just add the entire folded card base into the folder and ran it through. I then took my bone folder and smoothed the back of the card until it was flat.  I added another layer of smooth cardstock with my greeting (Stampin' Up Rose Wonder Stamp Set) on the inside to give the weakened paper more structure.
I love how it turned out. Simple but so pretty. ~Theresa

I decided to use one of the card designs already designed on my Cricut cartridge called Artfully Sent by CTMH.  The image is Baby Pop Up Card.  I only used the inside of the card because I had a different idea for the outside.  The paper used for the outfits and behind the letters all came from a mat stack by DCWV called Nana’s Nursery – Girl.  For the front, I used on whole page from that same stack and stamped on the sentiments.  Those came from two sets – the “congratulations” was by Fiskars from a set called Sentiments and the lower phrase was from set by Close To My Heart called Just to Say.  This was a card that packs impresses without being too difficult to do. ~ Denise
