Today's Technique Challenge
Stenciling with Ink Blending
I've had this Tim Holtz "Typo" stencil for some time and have been wanting to use it, so I thought this card was the perfect opportunity. I cut the panel I wanted to stencil from Whisper White card stock, applied my stencil and colored using Distress Inks in various shades of gray and black. When I was satisfied with the density of color. I used SU's Illuminate stamp pad and applied that directly on the stencil. I matted that on Basic Gray and attached it to the card front. I used an SU digital typewriter image from "You're Just My Type", color matched it to the card stock and sized it to the size I wanted for the card front. I stamped with Illuminate on that as well and matted that on Basic Gray. I attached it with dimensionals. Inside the card, I traced the typewriter and turned it into a line drawing, enlarging it to the full size of the card and inserted the sentiment. ~Kim
I used my Simon Says Stamp stencil with rain drops with distress
ink.
Then die cut and colored with distress inks this set from Mama Elephant.

Kim, I like the typewriter theme and Denise, the coloring on your stamped image is great.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise! I have a friend who still uses one of those typewriters and I thought this would be perfect for her.
