Scene It Saturday 32-2018

Scene cards are fun to make especially if you can make them personal for the recipient.

My daughter-in-law is finishing her degree to become a teacher.  I sent her this card to congratulate her on being close to the end.  For the characters I used the Cricut cartridge called Create a Friend.  The boy was with his own desk, but I had to add a desk to the girl.  To save a lot of time and my nerves I chose to do a print and cut with the figures instead of cutting a lot of layers.  With the Cricut you have to "flatten" the image before you choose to print then cut.  I also added the text called Cursive 101 for the name before flattening the image.  I used a diamond patterned paper for the floor because it looked like tiles.  I popped the children up on some foam to give it a more dimensional look.  She loved it when she received it. - Denise
