Technique Tuesday - 50-2018

Welcome back. It's Sue and I'm the designer this week. So happy to see you here.

The theme for December is winter holidays (Christmas, Chanukah, New Years).  For Technique Tuesday, the challenge is to use a technique of my choosing.

Here's my card

I selected heat embossing on vellum – here’s a video which explains the process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6r6TwZnUgg. I used Simon Says STAMP’s Poinsettia stamp set, which I heat embossed with white embossing powder and then fussy cut. The sentiment is from The Ton’s Holiday Flourish stamp set, stamped onto a scrap strip of natural cardstock with Hero Arts Cup O’ Joe ink. The patterned strip is Basic Grey’s Figgy Pudding patterned paper. I used a kraft background to give the card a vintage feel. To complete the card, I added some faux pearls in the center of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by

  1. I love that velum Poinsettia and adding the pearls in the middle is wonderful.
