Sweet & Simple Sunday 49-2018

Welcome to new challenges for December.  This month we will be doing holiday cards and this month we get to choose our own technique.

I will start Monday out with a one layer card for my Clean and Simple Sunday.

I used some unique stamps by Unity Stamp Company.  They are designed by Ann Butler and are simple shapes of squares, triangles and rectangles with various patterns on them.  They are unique in that there is no lip and the design goes to the very edge of the stamp.  You build designs up like quilt patterns.  I love quilts and was excited to see how I could put some of these stamps together to make something.  I used Gingham, Leaves All Over, and Double Diamonds.  I sketched out what I wanted on graph paper to make sure it would fit on a card and used the inch squares and triangles along with the rectangle.  The sentiment is from another Unity kit. My sketch is below.  This is certainly easier than sewing, lol. - Denise

  2. I love it! I would still be sitting here trying to figure out how to cut it. Thanks for the clear instructions!
