Card a Day Challenge for November - Scene It Saturday

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the last day of Card a Day Challenge for November! Thanks for hanging with me this week! Today is Scene It Saturday which, as you know by now, is not my strength as a card-maker. But I've been creative in my approach (do I get credit for creativity?). Here is my card for today:

I went with a deer in the woods theme. I used a birch tree die cut from SSS and then embossed it with Wanderlust powder so it looked like the trees were filled with freshly fallen snow. The background sky was done using CP Inks in the gorgeous shade of Suede Shoes, and I added dots of snow with my Posca pen. Next I die cut the two deer and cardinal, and colored them. I put a sequin over the deer eyes and finished with my sentiment "silent night, holy night" from Concord & 9th Very Merry sentiments. That's it!

I want to wish all of you a blessed holiday filled with God's love and peace. To those that are suffering this holiday, please know that you are not alone. We all stand together in this life.

Colleen

  1. I think you don't give yourself enough credit, this is a gorgeous scene, I love that die cut and with the powder and that color in the background, I feel like I am in the middle of the woods.
