Clean and Simple Sunday #20-2016

Today's Clean and Simple Challenge
create a card with a house or building on it.

This challenge really sent me for a loop.

I don't have any stamp sets that have a house or a building. My daughter had my Cricut at
college at the time of the creating the cards for this week, so I turned to my giant stash of
stuff to find something in hopes of making this card.

I participate in a few swap groups and other the years have collected quite a drawer full of
diecuts from my swaps.
Well, since I rarely throw anything out, I was lucky enough to find the makings for this card.

I started with Ranger Distress Inks and created the night sky background.
I then added mists of plain water and Perfect Pearls Mist.
I added the diecut house with moon and the bat and added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the black and purple elements.
For the inside I used a Heidi Swapp Color Mist in grey
and again used Wink of Stella to add to the sentiment.
The sentiment and monsters were also in my stash.
Not sure who sent them to me, but I hope they like how they ended up being used. ~Theresa

Let's see what Jennifer came up with for this challenge...

When I thought of including a building it made me think of these art impressions stamps that I love…. I bought a bunch of them at scrapbook expo and love doing them.  You color them with watercolor pens & then go over the stamped image with a wet paintbrush.  I love the way they come out!  I think vineyards are very pretty…. so I love the way these stamps look!  ~Jennifer

Well you can't get much different from those two cards.
We'd love to see what you do with the challenge.

Your creation just might finds it way to the blog too.

Happy Crafting

PS: We've got lots of new talent coming your way in June and July.
Can't wait for you to see the amazing things these guest (and possibly future DT members)
have for you!

  1. Theresa, see you have a stash for a reason. Jennifer, I like the look of your card. I saw those type of stamps at the Art Impressions booth at the Mega Meet earlier this month, but haven't taken the plunge to buy them yet. They made it look so easy.
