Scene It Saturday 5-2019

Happy Groundhog's Day!!!  It's bad news for fans of scorching summer weather like me if Phil comes out from his hidey-hole and sees his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. That critter best not see his shadow today!

Today is also Scene It Saturday - we create a card with a scene.  Our theme is "Love" and our colors are red, pink and white.

Here is my card:

I started my card with a stamp set from Hunkydory.  I used my MISTI to stamp the bicycle in layers - I started with black Memento ink for the wheels, then clear Versamark ink for the bike.  I then embossed it with Rose Quartz embossing powder.  I followed that with brown Memento ink for the basket and green for the flowers.  I colored the basket and flowers with Spectrum Noir markers.  I fussy cut the bicycle.  The fence is also from the stamp set; it is an embossing folder and I fussy cut it.  The paper I found in my scrap box.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.  I stamped it with Pickled Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and I trimmed it and mounted it on pink card stock.  I used white card stock to make a card base.

Thanks for joining us this week - I hope we have inspired you to try something new!  I'll be back next week, too! ~ Gracie
