Inspiration Saturday #10-2016 and He is Risen Blog Hop

Welcome to the

Today's hop will be a celebration of Christ living, dying on the cross for us and rising from the grave.

The Easter eggs and bunnies are cute but the true meaning of Easter is one we want to celebrate
and be grateful for daily.  We hope you'll find these projects an inspiration.

We've got a great group of bloggers today and the projects will just wow you.

Please comment on each of the blogs the hop to be entered into the prize drawing.

Today's prize is a $10 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp.

The hop will be open for comments until March 31st.
Winner will be announced on Theresa's blog on April 1st. No Fooling!

Now on with the projects.

This card came together in a matter of a few minutes.
All it took was a card base, some masking paper, a few Ranger Distress inks
and some Paper Studio  (Hobby Lobby's private brand) clear stickers.

I don't own a single Easter themed stamp so I was trying to find something
and I came across these stickers and made them work.

I made a side step card , added 3 crosses and a pretty ring of flowers, also added strips of grass,
Easter Lilly's, gave it some sparkle with Wink of Stella, greens and lime green stickles for the flower centers.  I think it turned out pretty good!  ~Anna

I had some paper from Authentique called Symbolic from a collection called Faith.  The colors are very muted, but I loved the design.  The paper was double sided and so I used the one that had three circular patterns across the width.  I cut the two outside circles down to where they attached to the central circle leaving about ¾” still attached on each side.  I then carefully cut each of the two outside circles straight down the center lengthwise and folded each to the middle to form sort of a gate card.  I cut the words and the cross accents from bronze colored vinyl and the center cross from a purple vinyl on my Cricut Explore.  The cartridge used is New Testament. ~Denise

I loved making this card.  I used whisper white cardstock  and stamped Deep Red's Lily Blossom stamp along the edge with Memento Luxe Ink and clear embossing powder.  I water colored the stamped images.  I used copper metallic cardstock and a Taylored Expressions die At The Cross 3 but I purposely left the chads in the die cut.  I painted just a hint of blue around the cross.  I mounted the whisper white front on pale green cardstock then placed it on a black card base.  The sentiment is a Craft Smart stamp.  Have a blessed Easter. ~ Gracie

I had no idea what kind of card to make so I enlisted my mother in law to help
(since she's a card maker too!) She suggested Easter Lillies.  She picked the design from the Silhouette design store.  I picked all of the colors & printed it on white paper and then cut it out & assembled.  I love that feature! ~Jennifer

Using several cut files from the Silhouette Store I created this card on a base of Soft Sky.  I embossed the front with the Clouds embossing folder.  Then I attached the sun in So Saffron after embossing it with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  The hill in Wild Wasabi, embossed with Square Lattice, was attached to the bottom.  The two small crosses and the large cross were cut from scraps.  All supplies were Stampin' Up.  ~Kim

Don't forget our daily challenge! Visit us each day for a new challenge.
Today's Inspiration Saturday Challenge
is to pick a challenge from November 2015 and one from January 2016
and create a card combining the two.

So maybe you pick a card sketch or C.A.S.E. card from November and a
color or technique challenge from January and create a card with them.

Let's see what the DT members came up with...

The challenge today was to choose one from November and one from January.  The  November challenge I chose was water coloring and the January 30th was a CASE and it also used water coloring techniques.  I decided to case the card and watercolor.  The card base is a light green from Michaels.   The flowers are from a digital stamp set I purchased from Paper Garden (designed by Cathrine St. Clair).  The water colors are from my grandchildren' craft box in my craft room - they are crayola!  The die cut sentiment is from Little B.  I added some clear rhinestones. ~ Gracie
