Clean and Simple Sunday #12-2016 Happy Easter!

Today's Clean & Simple Challenge
is to create a card featuring Hi or Hello.

I made this card recently for a swap. The technique is called tapestry.
Ink your paper with several colors, then stamp and emboss with clear embossing powder, then take another color (in this case, I used Ranger Distress Inks and used one of the browns for the final step) and go over the entire piece.  It is very similar to the Joseph's coat technique but you are not trying to hide the background. I used a fun foam diecut that a friend sent me to finish it.  I really like how it turned out. ~ Theresa

I just love distressed inks sponged backgrounds!  I used dried marigold, tattered rose, salty ocean and peeled paint on white cardstock.   I used the Inkadinkadoo Delicate Branches stamps with Memento Luxe Ink and mounted the cover on black cardstock.  I added a few black heat set rhinestones. ~Gracie

We never plan our cards, other than the prompts, but it always amazes me how similar the DT members think. Gracie and I did not confer on what we were doing but we both created cards using distress inks and blending.

  1. It is amazing how you choose the same technique on a non-technique day. Both are beautiful.
