Inspiration Saturday #42-2016

What inspires you?  Sometimes a simple picture can turn on the creative process.  This picture was sent as inspiration to Sue.

Which led to this card -

I was inspired by the brick wall, the sign, the autumn colours. I started with MFT Mix-ables Brickwall stencil and added colour in a random manner to give the impression of texture with distress ink (pumice stone and antique linen). For the frame of the sign, I used a scrap of gray cardstock with Stampin’ Up’s Hardwood stamp and dark gray ink.  I cut the wood panels in half lengthwise to create a thin frame. For the sign, I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says STAMP Flower Friend. I surrounded the sentiment with blooms from STAMPlorations’ Frames and Flowers stamp set using Hero Arts Shadow Inks (orange soda and just rust). A few small pearls were placed at the intersections of the frame pieces to complete the card.- Sue

I love the subtle look of a brick wall in the back.  Let the photo inspire you today - Denise

  1. Sue, I love the rustic wooden frame you created against the brick wall.
