Color Challenge Tuesday #5-2016

Today's Color Challenge:

This card came together quickly.  I die cut the bird and sentiment using Simon Says dies.  The oval was cut using my old, trusty CM set.  I used Tim Holtz Distress inks (diced marmalade, mustard seed, and peacock feathers) blending over my Burlap Bits stencil on white cardstock.  I put everything on a gray card base and added some enamel dots. ~Gracie

Kathy took the challenge literally and used buttons for her colors.
How cute is that!

I used a colored card that I had in my stash. Seeing the colors, it reminded me of spring flowers, so I used SU! Buttons from the Subtles collection for the rest of the colors with white twine as the stems.  Then, to match the deep rose color in the challenge, I used SU! Cherry Cobbler ink for the sentiment which is from a 1994 SU! set called Little by Little. ~Kathy

Way to use up those old supplies!

Get creative with today's color challenge.
What can you make using these bright colors during those dark winter days?

  1. Those challenge colors are beautiful and you both did a great job capturing the soft, subtle feel.

  2. I like them both and I am going to have to remember to use up my button stash. Nice way to do it Kathy.
