Anything Goes - C.A.S.E A Card Friday #21-2016

Today's C.A.S.E A Card Challenge:

I was inspired by the card chosen for this challenge and wanted to incorporate the colors and hearts from the sample card. I hand-cut a heart out of white cardstock and shaded it in with my Crayola Twistables which are gel crayons. I blended the colors with my fingertip and they blended very nicely. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it in white. This sentiment is from the JilliBean Soup Collection. I framed the sentiment with faux stitching using my Uniball Signo white gel pen. I punched tiny hearts and ran them though my Xyron sticker maker and placed them around randomly. Finished this card off with a few sequins.  ~Maranda
The supplies I used on this project were:
White Cardstock        Blue Cardstock (in various shades)
Fiskars Paper Trimmer       Scissors
Small Heart Punch      Xyron Sticker Maker
VersaMark Watermark Resist Ink Pad       White Embossing Powder
Recollections Heat Gun       Recollections Glue Runner
Foam Dimensional Squares      Crayola Twistables
JilliBean Soup Sentiment Stamp      Acrylic Stamp Block
Sequins       Zots Glue Dots
Uniball Signo White Gel Pen

I will admit I have never heard of a C.A.S.E. challenge before,  so hopefully I did it right....  Stampin up bitty butterfly, and butterfly punches. 3 coordinating teal/ aqua, and white cardstock.  Small white pearls, piece of lace, pop dots, and an Inkadinkado stamp.  I punched out a bunch of butterflies, glued some down all the way, then the top ones only glued the center.  Added the pearls down the center for a decorative punch.  I cut a circle in two sizes, and popped both layers up.  I also added the lace for a different texture. ~Mindy

I'd say Mindy did a fabulous job for her first C.A.S.E. challenge, wouldn't you?

I had a really hard time with this challenge because the original card didn’t “speak” to me.
I tried doing a lot of different things, but nothing really worked out.
I ended up doing a design on Explore using leaf designs in a circle and putting three colors of green behind them.
I used some brown rhinestones to cover some glue that I got on the front.
I border punch from Martha Stewart for the side and a sentiment and it was done.
I still don’t like my card, but ran out of time to do anything else. – Denise Sayers

I think Denise is being way to hard on herself, don't you?
I think her card turned out quite wonderfully.

Isn't it amazing how three crafters looked at the same card
and C.A.S.Ed it such different ways?  How would you C.A.S.E this inspiration card?

Remember these simple C.A.S.E Rules and you'll find yourself
mastering the art of copy and stealing (oops, I mean sharing) everything.

1. Change at least 3 things.
2. DO NOT EVER enter a C.A.S.Ed card in a contest for publication
3. Give credit to the original creator whenever possible.

  1. Great job Miranda. Mindy this certainly doesn't look like your first time at C.A.S.E.-ing a card adn I like a lot better than the original.
