Today's Sketch Challenge:
Today's card is a 5" x5" square card. I used paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two. Also, used the stamp set from Sweet N' Sassy Gone Fishin' , and Fran-Tage Mica Fragments in pearlized and bronzed. I used Elizabeth Crafts peel-off stickers to create the 2 fishes on the front. I used my sizzix circle die, the oval die, and the oval scallop lace die. The card base is 5" x 10" scored at 5". The first layer is 4 7/8" x 4 7/8" and attached that to the front of the card base. Then I took my circle die and I covered it in vintage photo distress ink using my blending tool. Once that was completed I used a stampendous! stamp called Faux Finish Quad Cube to create the distressed look and texture on it. After attaching the circle to the bottom left section of the card I took the oval die and cut out a coordinated pattern paper to attach to the the oval scalloped lace die cut. once those were put together I attached foam tape to the back and place in the location where it was located in sketch. but before that I did take the Gone Fishin' sentiment stamped in on a piece of scratch paper and taped it down before attaching the oval piece. The 2 fishes I used pop dots to give dimension of the front and placed them one by the sentiment and the other above and to the right. To finish off the card I added sequins and where the second fish was I added the sequins to look like bubbles coming up from the one fish. ~Tantalaya
This is a simple card. All the pieces on the card were cut from my Cricut. I used several shades of pink, I wanted the flower to pop. The sentiment is from some of my old stuff from Creative Memories. It is just a nice saying on vellum cut to set inside the doily. ~Paulyne

Both cards are really great. I love those fish and after seeing both of them, I will have to rethink using sequins. I don't tend to use them, but both cards do a great job without being overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteThank you and you should try the sequins they are addictive!!!!
DeleteLadies, both cards are wonderful! It's amazing to see how one sketch works so well for entirely different themes.
