Welcome to the
Blog Hop.
Today's hop is all about traveling this great country of ours and all the crafty
projects are inspired by that travel theme.
We've got a bit of everything for you today, so be sure to stop by each blog and leave a
little love in the form of a comment. One comment will be chosen from all those left on the hop by June 30th for a Stampin' Up prize pack and the winner will be announced on next month's hop.
Now on with the projects!
I just love telescoping cards and I used one in this challenge. Since this is for the Road Trip hop, I had to use some form of transportation/travel, so I opted for a car...in this case, a classic car and formed my card around that with inspiration from my blogging friend, Kelly. I used Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock from Stampin' Up. The blue card stock is from Bazzill and is very old so I don't know the name of it nor do I know where I got the DSP...or the car image for that matter. I print and cut the greeting using my Silhouette. I did the same for the sentiments inside. I used a Spellbinder die to create the card base. Happy travels! ~ Kim from Katydid Cards
I like the Clean & Simple
look to scrapbook pages. I printed out the Chicago band logo from the internet
and fussy cut it. The striped paper is from Echo Park – A Boy’s Life/Charmer,
cut at ½”.
I was inspired by this layout. ~Sue
My goodness, I take so many roadtrips! I have so many I need to be scrapbooking! But... My son had a road trip back in January. He hit another car. Soooo it was the last road trip for his Dad's Accord he had borrowed. I found an old CM road trip kit in my scraprack and dug up a wrecker and a car. Love the black and white and red together. This challenge got me back in the scrapbooking mood between making cards :) ~ Gracie
I created a card for this hop using a stamping bella uptown girl stamp. Colored her with colored pencils and added silver stickels for all the chrome accents on the mo-ped. This card measures 5" x 7" and on the bottom of photo you can see part of the envelope I made to match the card. I used We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board. I also used DCWV paper for the decorative layer and for the envelope. The card base is made out of kraft cardstock. Ribbon is from stampin' Up! from a few years ago. ~Tantalaya
Here is my travel card. I chose Hawaii. On the inside I am putting a picture from our trip. I thought this would be fun to send to the couple we went with. This is made with a MFT Tropical Flowers stamp set and ink. I used the matching dies to cut the flowers and leafs out. I used my Cricut to cut the word Hawaii, and used foam tape to make it to give it dimension. ~ Paulyne
Some years
ago, we took a camping trip to Agua Caliente (Southern California).
It wasn’t
the best trip, but we made the most of it!
And here, I
put it together in a Your Story album.
I love the
glue binding, it makes it look like it was “done” at another facility…
These are
just a few pics, but it ended up being a FULL 8x8 album with 20 double-sided
pages!
~ Lisa
Supplies:
Paper: Donated Stash (Freecycle.org is

Book Cover and binding: Provocraft
Your Story
These are a couple of scrapbook pages I have done. The
first was a page I did for my son’s scrapbook.
My husband, son and daughter all flew to Alaska the summer of 2014 (I got to stay
home and work, lol) I did this as part of a LOAD challenge and it is
interactive. If you pull the string on
one end, the plane “flies” from Ohio to Alaska . If you pull the other end, it goes back. The
second page is done to show how it feels to drive up to the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan. Believe me, it seems to take forever to get through the bottom of Michigan , but the UP is
huge in our hearts. The cuts were done
on my Explore. – Denise Sayers
