This is our last week for February and the additional challenge of using one paper pad or kit for the week.
Sue starts with a crisp thank you card.
I
thought that I’d try to highlight some of the various patterned paper in this
pad. I chose the bold diamond shapes, incorporating most of the colours in this
paper pad. I felt that since the background was a bit busy, that I’d use a
simple sentiment. I picked Papertrey Ink’s Think Big Favorites #15 Stamp set.
The small banners were cut from other patterned papers in this paper pad. I did
add the turquoise cardstock mat, which wasn’t included in the paper pad. - Sue
The paper pack Sue is using is Echo Park’s Happy Days by Lori Whitlock 6x6
paper pad.
I did a super quick card for my clean & simple challenge.
This week I am going to use Graphic 45's Botanical Tea collection. I love Graphic 45, but never use them because I am afraid I will mess up their beautiful papers. This will force me to utilize whit I have. This was simply an image of the stamps taken from the 12 x 12 pad and cut to fit the A2 card. I then used one of the blue patterns that already had the Thinking of You as part of the print. i used a die in my Cuttlebug and positioned it so that the Thinking of you and the dragonfly would show. That was put over the stamps and both were mounted on a solid paper from the 6 x 6 pad. - Denise
Both cards are great. I can see the first being a great masculine card and the second a perfect feminine card.
