July Stencil Extravaganza Week 1 Challenge 1 ... Day 2

We've got more Basic Stenciling for you today.

I chose a simple stencil for this one.  I used the CCSMdandwind6 stencil and using a white cardstock I sponged on Stampin’ Up ink in So Saffron for the flower and Pear Pizzaz for the stem. I mounted this on a Pear Pizzazz card base.    I then used the Stampin’ Up set A Dozen Thoughts and stamped the Just Because Sentiment in Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black card stock and heat embossed it with Whisper White embossing powder all from Stampin’ Up.
I used my paper snips to flag the one end and attached the completed sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. - Robbie Rubala

I cut this stencil on my Explore using stencil material from Hobby Lobby.  I found this in the same aisle as there precut stencils in the crafting department.  Three sheets of 12” x 18” material was only $3.99 before I used my 40% off coupon.  That made it very inexpensive to make several stencils and I still have 2 sheets of the material left from the package.  Make sure you remove the protective film on the sheet before you cut it and use the custom setting for stencil material .4 mm.  The cartridge I used was Artfully Sent by CTMH.  I used Viva Décor 3-D Stamp paint in silver and just rubbed it over the stencil onto a silver blue cardstock I had. The background paper is from a 6 x 6 pad by We R Memory Keepers called Red, White and Blue.  I don’t remember where the stamp came from. – Denise Sayers

Stencil - Tim Holtz scribbles
Sentiment – PTI birthday bash sentiments
Distress inks – mustard seed, spiced marigold, picked raspberry & seedless preserves
Process – I love mixing colours together and thought this stencil perfect for such a blend. I sponged the distress inks on in a rainbow fashion. Trimmed the piece down, added a bit of black and white striped paper on a black card base. ~Tristan

  1. Robbie, I love the dandelion stencil and Theresa you always do a great job blending different colors together. I guess I must have been channeling July 4th when I did mine several weeks ago. lol.
