Hi, after a brief break, we are back on schedule. I will be posting on the blog for the time being while Theresa takes a little time off. I hope I can keep this blog as well as she did and know that the design team Theresa put together does an awesome job. All I have to do is post their great creations.
This week we will welcome new designers Kimberly and Robbie to the design team.
Today's post is all about the Flowers, so let's see what Kimberly and Robbie did.
First is Kimberly -
This card is full of supplies from Catherine Pooler's Stamp
of Approval (SOA) goodness.
I used the Birthday Journal Card Die from Sugar Pea Designs
to cut the scalloped rectangle with black cardstock. Then I used the stitched rectangle die to cut
the white cardstock. The beautiful
floral/leave image is from Gina K. (SOA Beautiful World Collection) The image is stamped with Hero Arts Ombre
Neon Ink (chartreuse to blue).
The sentiment is from the same SOA collection, CAS-UAL
Fridays "All About You" stamp
set. Assemble the card as shown and add
sequin and pearl embellishments. Adhere
to a A2 size card base.
Now up is Robbie -
I love CAS cards and I just
got some new flower stamps. All supplies
are from Stampin’ Up. I began by
stamping my flower using the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set. Each petal is individual so you stamp the
first petal, then turn your card 90 degrees and stamp the petal again, then
rotate 90 degrees and stamp the petal, and finally rotate 90 degrees and stamp
the last petal – you are working in a circle.
This is also a 3 step stamp set so I stamped the bottom layer with
Wisteria Wonder, the second layer with Perfect Plum, and the outline layer with
Elegant Eggplant. I took my Basic
rhinestones and used the largest size and put in the center of the flower. I then used the middle size rhinestone to
form a ring around the large rhinestone.
I used the sentiment from the same set and stamped it in Elegant
Eggplant. Using the Tags & Labels
framelits and my Big Shot I cut out the sentiment and a larger size of the same
shape from Elegant Eggplant. The
sentiment was attached to larger shape and then added to the card front in the
lower left hand corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish off the card I wrapped Some Elegant
Eggplant baker’s twine around the top of the card twice and tied a bow. My card was complete! ~ Robbie
Both are great cards and I love how the clean look of each is perfect. We will see more great designs tomorrow. - Denise
