Fall Festival Blog Hop 10/24/15

Welcome to the

Today's hop will give you all kinds of awesome fall crafting ideas.

So let's get started.

First up is Gracie with this sweet and simple burlap card with gauzy leaves.

The card I've created for the fall blog hop uses burlap as the background - I just love the texture!
I used some leaves I have had quite a while and finished it with some raffia.
The leaves are tricky.  I remember why they were not used - they are very, very fragile!! ~Gracie

Up next is Theresa with a stamped falling leaves card.
I used Ranger Distress Inks in a variety of colors and a few leaf stamps to create this falling leaves card.
I like the flow and movement and the larger leaves surrounding the sentiment.  ~ Theresa

Up next is Anna with an amazing bendy card.

I decided to try something new this time.  It is called the "Bendy" Card. I just love it!
I decided to make a fall /halloween version.
All the cuts are from Cricut and since I made this 3 wks ago I can't remember which cut files I used.
I do know the pumpkin border is from Creative Memories border punch system
Try it out and have fun! Here is a youtube video with all the cuts needed to make it.
Tips: Don't use wet glue for this where you have to cut the slits in the paper.
I did and it made the paper wet and difficult to cut with the craft knife.
I switched to Score tape and it worked much better.   ~ Anna

Last up today is Denise with her simple card class series.

I am going to give a class for some friends on simple card making and made this set as an example for them.  These were done ffrom a 6 x 6 paper pad called Sweater Weather by DCWV.  I used just a few sheets from the pack.  I like that they are double sided, so it opens the options for what you can combine.
I accented a few with twine and buttons.  ~Denise

  1. Ooh, I love all that yummy texture on your card. I've never seen those leaves before, but they do look like you'd need to handle with care...they are set off nicely by the raffia.
