Technique Tuesday is about trapped emboss resist. A tutorial by Jennifer McGuire show how to do this technique can be found here.
This is my take on the technique.
I started with a patterned paper from a 6 x 6 pad by Authentique called Quest. I have so much patterned paper and cardstock that I really don't take the time to make my own backgrounds. I used Versamark ink and stamped a large Peony by Unity and then used clear embossing powder on it. After heat setting it, I blended Gina K Navy dye ink all over the patterned paper and rubbed it off the embossed part with a dry paper towel. It made the pattern really pop but it is hard to tell that it is a flower. It might have shown better with a more subtle pattern. I added the sentiment and matted it on a solid color. - Denise
I think it is just perfect! Love you did it on patterned paper!
